What a horrifying story. I met Mike when I was in the 7th grade and became pretty good friends even through high school. Our families were also close; both of our younger brothers were in cub scouts together. I am sorry to hear of this tragedy and my thoughts go out to both families, (By the way, notice how this story gives nothing from his family's side?) I know he committed inexcusable crimes, but more than one family is dealing with a loss here. The Miller's are a great family, and I wish them the best through this extremely difficult time. I hope that Mike gets the help he needs, and not some of the other ridiculous and assinine suggestions that others have posted on this page.

What an awful tragedy. The sad thing is that dad will probably end up in a mental facility, and he'll spend very little time there. Once they feel they have "stabilized" him on medications, he'll be released to the community to continue on with his life, while his beautiful wife and daughter's lives were taken from them and his son's will certainly never be the same. I hope the little boy will recover and he'll have a happy, stable life with his mother's parents that includes absolutely no contact with dad.

We all take the wrong turns wrong roads in life and when you continue to take the wrong path sooner or later you will lose your mind . If you take a moment from your busy days and listen to those nagging little temptations that come to you when you are down , depressed or feel pressure( easier target) from something you think you cant handle this is this what we give in to because its easy. This is more than likely what he gave in for quite some time. This is not about religious ideals, but about what is truly alive and well in our world because if it wasnt we wouldnt have terrible crimes like this or any other probelms. This can not be denied. Everything we do is by our own choices and we need to take accountability for our actions. If he has a mental illness then he lost his battle with staying on the right path. This is not blaming this is being responsible for our thoughts words and actions. The devil didnt make him do it he chose to do it he chose to take that side. The devil= everything aganist what is for the good of man. Someone wrote " why is so much of this happening in the world" because we are letting the ' devil' take our country/world.Look around closely at what is around us pay attention to everything you will see if you havent already. Have an open heart with no pride and arrogance and see 1941 movie the Devil and Daniel Webster... you will learn the answers to all of your lingering questions, and see what is happening and has been happening in the US for years. Esp with the mortgage lenders, and housing situation. Current occurances. This situation needs to be dealt with from the core, and I hope we all can see from whats only on the surface which is a big problem in our twisted society. He commited a terrible crime and we must find ta way to understand why. I have no sympathy for him just empathy with compassion for all involved. Again see beyond the surface this is where th truth is. ^__^

Unbelievable...it happens so often now that there is a name for it. Familicide. We'd like to think that we're safe with our loved ones but a large number of mass killings in the U.S. occurs within the family. Reading about these cases, the perp justifies it with all sorts of reasons and does not feel like a villian, but as a victim also. This guy needs put away. I surely hope the little boy who was "loved the most" will be ok.

I felt sure that this guy had a history of mental illness. It fit. Every time I read about something like this, it fills me with anguish. I have an 8 year old grandson who is bipolar and on medication. He is the sweetest, most sensitive kid in the world, but when his dad forgets to give him his meds, he has no control over his mood swings. Lots of adults feel "ok" and don't take their meds, when they really need to, or they forget. Please don't judge, because mental illness is just that. An illness. My heart goes out to the family and friends involved.

He's now saying he was possessed by the devil. I guess he prefers being in a nut house rather than a prison. I do know he qualified for a lifelong trip to Club ADOC. I feel sorry for the victims but this man killed his kids. I have NO MERCY for sewer spawn like that. The kids didn't deserve DEATH. Hope he ends up in prison cuz I don't buy this religeous scammy crap that he thinks will keep him out of a real prison. Put him in general prison population so the convicts can lead him to the righteousness he so deserves. Religeous fanatics are rarely CONvincing.

Truly devastated after learning of this tragedy this afternoon. I knew this couple in passing from our church and they seemed perfectly normal. My prayers go out to Adrianna's family and especially their son Brian. I learned today that an account has been set up at Bank of America to help with funeral costs. I'm sure the family will appreciate anything anyone can give as they have to struggle with handling two funerals.

The b@$-t@rd should have taken his own life, who in their right mind hurts their own children, children depend on parents for not just love and support but for protection too. I pray that the 4 year old survives. Pray more so that he will get the love and support he needs.

BTW, Made a general statement about scum - didn't mean to make a statement about his murdered wife. In retrospect, very bad statement given the situation. I do believe that in many cases there is complicity with the female side of these relationships, but obviously not all. I certainly never meant to tar this woman with that brush given I know nothing about her. But we all certainly know about Michael Miller.....
