GLENDALE, AZ -- A man who admitted to killing his wife and daughter and critically injuring his son in a stabbing attack has been sentenced to life in prison, authorities say.

Michael Miller, 29, was accused of killing his wife Adriana and his 10-year-old daughter Valeria, and critically injuring his 4-year-old son Brian on May 30.

On October 26, Miller pleaded guilty to two counts of first degree and one count of
attempted first degree murder.

Miller was sentenced Friday to two natural life sentences plus 10.5 years.

According to the County Attorney's Office, the result is that Miller must remain in prison the rest of his life.

In a disturbing call to 911 released by Glendale Police, Miller admitted to the dispatcher that he had just stabbed three of his family members.

Miller is heard telling the dispatcher, "I just killed my family with a knife. All of them, all three of them."

Listen to the 911 call -- (Some language may be offensive to some listeners)

Miller apparently made the call as his wife and daughter lay dead on the kitchen floor.  His son was bleeding from his stab wounds, but still alive.

Miller is heard saying, "I was threatening my wife, and my kids came out, and I killed my wife and I killed both my kids."

The dispatcher asks, "Okay are you sure you're not dreaming Michael?" He responds, "I'm positive, I swear to God, this is real."

According to court documents, Miller is bipolar and schizophrenic.  Adriana's family members say he tried to kill himself at least once, and that ironically, she saved his life during that episode.

"Have you ever had any type of thoughts of doing this before," asks the dispatcher on the recording.

"Never, never, ever, ever," responds Miller.  "It just hit me like a brick in the face.  I don't even know why I did it.  I don't even have a valid reason."

"Michael, I'm hoping that you're just dreaming this," says the dispatcher.

"I pray to God this is a dream," shouts Miller.  "I hope to God this is a dream!  I hope to God I am just (expletive) freaking out!"

According to court documents, Miller told investigators God and "the devil" made him do it.

"I am not myself," says Miller during the 911 call.  "I'm... I am... I'm possessed."

The documents say he confessed to punching his young son in the face and stabbing him the most, "because he loved him the most."

Brian Miller, the only survivor of the massacre, is recovering from his injuries.

"Are you sure that you're not dreaming," asks the dispatcher again.

"No, I'm not dreaming," says a frantic Miller.  "I'm positive.  I'm positive.  They are ... They are over there, and they're dead.  I'm not dreaming.  Get someone over here! (Expletive)."

Family members said Miller is a good man who loved his family but his mental problems got the best of him and his family paid the price.
