See i dont under stand why peolpe want dogs that have been known for attacking kids in the first place those are very dangerous dogs i mean any dog can attack if it feals threatened but pitbulls jaws lock shut and that cant open thier mouths back up even if they wanted to you have to unsnap thier jaws yourself. And even if your dog is the most sweetest dog in the world they are still capable of doing something like that. i also lived in El Mirage and that place itself is unsafe for kids i see kids as young as 3 walking down the streets by themselves and pretty much everyone who lives there have dogs that they dont take care of and just let run around wild so i think the dog.

I live in El Mirage and I have two pitbulls and I guarantee you this is not a pitbull problem. This accident in this area (the 115th block) can be accredited to owners not caring for their animals. I can't tell you how many times I have driven through this area and almost hit a dog and most of them are not even pitbulls. The people in this area do not take responsibility for the dogs they have, they allow them to roam the streets, breed with whatever and barely feed them. These dogs don't have shots, aren't behind fences in their yards, are dirty and usually malnurished which can cause aggression. Unfortunately in these circumstances it's the dogs and innocent by standards that suffer due to the ignorance of these people not taking responsibility for their dogs. You want children to not get bit, then be a responsible pet owner: spay or neuter your dog, confine your dog to your yard, make sure your dog has all it's shots and don't turn your head and shrug your shoulders when something happens...it's your fault as the owner! Step up and take responsiblity for your actions!

All Pit Bulls and Illegal Alliens should be rounded up. It would be better for society.

Watch , whoever did this will be charged with animal cruelty. I hope the shooter and the dog owner go to jail. El Mirage Stinks nothing but loosers there.

It's so painfully obvious that a few of you don't do ANY kind of reading or research in the small world you live in: NOT all people that have Pits or Pit mixes are gangbangers, trashy or lowclass. Many highly respected historical figures have owned pit bulls: President Woodrow Wilson, President Theodore Roosevelt, Helen Keller, Fred Astaire, Humphrey Bogart, and Thomas Edison, to name a few. None of the above are lowclass, thugs or gangbangers. As usual only the bad things get brought out in the news. Yes, there are less than desirables that have these breeds but that's like I stated before, It's the OWNERS fault for the dogs being bad. Learned behavior. Did you learn anything about that in school? It all falls back on society and what labels we as people put onto things, being human or animal. And just because you don't know anyone that has Pits doesn't mean anything, so Freakin what!! I'm sure there are alot of good, hard working american citizens that have and breed these dogs that would dissagree with you on this breed. Some people don't even realize they have Pit mixes because of the cross breeding. Example of learned behavior since you don't like to look things up for yourself (guildenNL/Puddle), are chickens. Chickens/roosters aren't hatched mean, they are trained to fight and be mean. Wait a minute......isn't that again learned behavior??? wow and who trained them? could it be man?????

Aha!! I found it! It looks like a flaw in the Google Chrome brower. I copied and pasted, the browser appears to let me add to the pasted piece but it doesn't submit it. Guess I will go back to Firefox. I use it on my Linux systems at home anyway. My point was puddle, you hit the nail on the head about the gangbanger aspect of Pit Bulls. I don't know a single person that owns one and we have a lot of dog loving friends. But we don't hang out with the crowd that want's to copy the scuzzy part of American society.
