Heat to blame for broken window on DPS vehicle?

Reported by: ABC15.com staff
Last Update: 7/15 10:58 am
TONOPAH, AZ – The window of a photo enforcement vehicle was reportedly broken near Tonopah on Wednesday morning.

Bart Graves with the Arizona Department of Public Safety said an officer received a report of the broken rear window of and SUV parked near the westbound lanes on Interstate 10, near milepost 93, around 6 a.m.

Graves said all photo enforcement vehicles are equipped with video surveillance and nothing appeared unusual on the video.

There was no indication of vandalism inside the vehicle.

The window could have been broken by the affects of the heat or by debris/gravel kicked up by passing vehicles, according to Graves.
