The worldwide popularity of ballroom dancing is now adding pressure to the international Olympics committee to make it part of Olympic competition.

Local versions of "Dancing with the Stars" air in 25 countries from India to South Africa.

The calendars for the 2012 and 2016 games are full so if supporters get their way they'd have to wait at least 12 years before the event is added.

We want to know what you think. Should ballroom dancing be a part of Olympic competition?

Sound off and your response may be aired on Daybreak.

oh PLEASE ball room dancing is not a sport it is fun but still not a sport. Next you will want to add NASCAR thats a sport but not one you need to add to the Olympics as a matter of fact they shoud take half of the so called sports out of the olympics and get back to the basics lets face it Ping Pong is not worthy of being an Olympic sport
