It was just one of those days for a Michigan man. First he lost his dog, then he lost his car.
Authorities in St. Clair County report the man drove onto the frozen Black River looking for his missing pooch.
The guy then locked his keys in the car, with the engine running.
Heat from the exhaust of '94 Buick melted the ice and the car sank into the river.
To make matters worse, the car isn't even his.
Local newspapers (Detroit Free Press and the Times Herald of Port Huron) report it's a loaner from a collision repair shop.
