Reported by: Associated Press

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Health officials say a Pima County child has died of swine flu, the 10th swine flu death in the county this year.

Pima County Health Department spokeswoman Patti Woodcock says the girl, who died Nov. 1, had underlying health conditions.

She says the child was younger than a preteen but would not release any other information about her.

All 10 deaths in Pima County from swine flu occurred in people younger than 65, and half were among people younger than 25.

Woodcock says all but one had underlying health conditions.

Some 103 Arizonans have died of swine flu this year.

Health officials say the flu strain has not proved to be any more lethal than seasonal flu, which kills about 700 people in Arizona each year.
