Walt Brickey of Phoenix stopped by ABC15 on Thursday to donate an iron sculpture he created to memorialize the four journalists who lost their lives in July 2007 in a helicopter collision.

He also donated a second sculpture to Channel 3.

ABC15’s Craig Smith, Rick Krolak and KTVK Channel 3’s Scott Bowerbank and Jim Cox died at Steele Indian School Park on July 27th.

The 8-foot, free-standing, hand crafted sculptures are meticulous in their design.

Walt, who just turned 80, says he still enjoys working in the backyard shop on various projects and was glad to share his work.

Thanks to Walt for his hard work and generous donation to both stations.
