TEMPE,AZ -- Sun Devil Family Charities brought in Be the Match Registry before the ASU/USC game on Saturday for a bone marrow donor registration drive.

The drive started at noon and goes until game time at 6 p.m.

Be the Match helps facilitate about 4,000 transplants each year.

There are about 7 million donors on the registry but it is still a "one in a million" chance that a donor match is found, according to Be the Match.

The more people that register, the more lives that can be saved.

Joe Cajic, a former ASU offensive lineman, received a bone marrow transplant back in 1999 and is now the president of Sun Devil Family Charities.

"If it wasn't for a person who just chose to come out and donate for me I wouldn't be here today, and week in, week out there are always people out there looking for donors and unfortunately there are some people that never find them," Cajic said.
