GUADALUPE, AZ -- The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday they have located a man wanted since early May for multiple counts of child molestation.
Mario Ramon Chavez-Tavena, 23, was arrested at a home near Guadalupe Road and Interstate 10 in Guadalupe Tuesday night, according MCSO spokeswoman Lindsey Smith.
Chavez-Tavena was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on four counts of sexual assault, four counts of molestation of a child, one count of sexual conduct with a minor, and one count of kidnap-death/injury/sex, Smith said.
On May 10, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office launched a criminal investigation on Chavez -Tavena after a young girl was reportedly the victim of multiple sexual assaults.
Through the course of the investigation, it appears this is an isolated case and there are no other victims, according to Smith.
