QUEEN CREEK, AZ -- A 61-year-old Queen Creek man was arrested Thursday after his daughter-in-law reported that two children had been victimized him, officials say.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Harold Whittle at his Queen Creek home on two counts of child molestation.
Officials said during interviews another victim, who now lives out of state, came forward.
Detectives have learned Whittle was previously arrested in the state of Utah in 2005 for lascivious acts against a child living in the neighborhood.
According to officials, at this point in the investigation there are indications of more potential victims.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio says, “This is the worst act against an innocent child a person can make. I don’t care if he’s a millionaire or if he has a private jet, he belongs in jail.”
Anyone with information regarding Harold Whittle is asked to contact the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office at 602-876-1011.
