Don't Mess with TexasAn Apache Junction woman called deputies Friday afternoon to report that she is being harassed by "her baby's daddy who lives in Texas."
Dogs and ScissorsOn Friday, the sheriff's office got a call from a San Tan Valley-area resident who reported that their adopted daughter stabbed their dog with a pair of scissors. The caller said the girl has a mental disorder and animal care and control was sent out to check on the dog. No word on its condition.
Don't upset the pool manIf you live in the San Tan Valley area, keep your friends close and your pool man even closer. A resident near the 2700 block of W Sunshine Butte Drive told sheriff's officials that he thinks his ex-pool man threw oil over his fence and into the pool after he stopped using the pool man’s services.
Mysterious MagazinesAbout 3:30 p.m. Friday, an Apache Junction man who lives in the 4200 block of San Marcos reported to sheriff's officials that his neighbor has been using his name and mailing address to order magazines. However, according to a report, it's "only a gut feeling," and there's "no evidence at all."
Cactus PoachingA Florence resident called the sheriff's office Friday to report people taking cacti in the area. No word yet if the bandits are stealing mighty saguaros, prickly chollas or some other type of cactus.
Beer Bottle Drive-byJust after 9 p.m. Friday, a Queen Creek woman called to report that her daughter was hit in the head with a beer bottle thrown by a passing car on Hunt Highway. The mother told officials the girl wasn't hurt and the car was a white four-door Ford Explorer.
Who you gonna call? Late Friday night, a Saddlebrooke resident who lives near 37000 Stone Ridge Drive told sheriff's officials that she heard something strange in her neighborhood. OK, actually it was the backyard where there was loud growling. She didn't want to "go outside and check it out" and "didn't know who to call."
You should have thought about noise before...deciding to live near a concrete mixing factory. A resident in the San Tan Valley area called sheriff's officials Friday morning to complain about too much noise coming the Cemex Plant.
Don't Look UpA San Tan Valley-area woman called officials early Saturday to report a suspicious plan circling her house. "She states there is no crops around her residence."
