It happened to a Mesa woman just last Sunday.
According to court paperwork, Ann F. La Londe, 42, was caught walking around in the homeowner's clothing and carrying one of her purses at the house near McKellips Road and Country Club Drive.
Police reported finding a GPS unit that also didn't belong to La Londe inside the purse when they searched it. La Londe told them she found it inside another bag in the house.
Police said she also admitted to opening a bottle of wine and a two-liter bottle of pop while she was at the house.
The homeowner told police she didn't know La Londe.
Court paperwork indicated the home may have been unlocked.
Police said La Londe is a transient.
She was arrested and booked into the Mesa City Jail on burglary charges.
