MESA, AZ – Police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a Jack in the Box by holding an employee at gunpoint at the drive-thru window on Sunday morning.
Detective Michael Melendez with the Mesa Police Department said the suspect drove up to the window at the restaurant near Stapley and University drives around 3:32 a.m. and pointed a rifle at the employee.
The suspect reportedly demanded money from the register and the drop boxes.
Melendez said the employee put the money in a paper bag and gave it to the suspect.
The suspect left in a 2-door white older model Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix that was very dirty.
The suspect is described as male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt that was pulled down over his face and a black bandana over his mouth area.
The suspect was also wearing black sun glasses.
