"Mr dustytoothpick is the type of idiot we need to educate and prosecute." I think if you just took the DL away for 5 years that would work. #### "But you do have your 2 wheeled misfits who really should'nt be on bikes. They are not responsible and they are arrogant. "#### Apparently the same level of arrogance you have. Let's hope you're at least responsible if you are a motorist.

I observe the traffic laws for 1. But you do have your 2 wheeled misfits who really should'nt be on bikes. They are not responsible and they are arrogant. These are the IDIOTS I speak about. So, as I said, they deserve to get what happens when they think it's OK to ride out IN THE 'MIDDLE' of the lane. The city really needs more 'PAINTED' bike lanes so these accidents don't happen. But Philiberto Gordino seems to think his messican buddies have a bigger priority which is who run over these bicyclist many times and run back to their loving cowardace toilet territory.

Mr dustytoothpick is the type of idiot we need to educate and prosecute. What's the big deal about going around a cyclist? A little turn of the steering wheel, a little pressure on the brake peddle. Please give us a break. I have a wife and 3 small children that love to see me come home uninjured. All we ask is that you 'share the road'. 3 feet is the law. Most people don't know that. Sometimes there is debris in the bike lane, glass and other junk that is thrown out of vehicles. Sometimes we need to go out of the bike lane to avoid getting a flat. Even if you need to cross the centerline to avoid a cyclist it's ok. You won't get a ticket for this. Most drivers give us plenty of room, but some think it's just fun to see how close they can come to us. We are not out on the roads to annoy drivers. We have the right to be on the roads and can't do it anywhere else. Just remember that cyclists get tickets also. Don't take the law in your hands. If you do, Sheriff Joe has some accommodations for you.

@ dustytoothpick education 4 U. 1. Bicycles are traffic and there create a slower speed maximum by design. 2. There are no accidents only collisions. 3. If you go the right way and ride on the road there is a 50% less chance (of 100) of ever being in a collision. 4. You can wear cycling shorts with dustytoothpick approved shorts over them.

Don't lke my driving...Stay out of the gutter. They don'y mention when some bike idiot is 3 feet out in the lane during rush hour and stalling all the traffic which causes accidents. WHY? I bike ride, but NOT in the PHX area. I don't need to die that bad. And I don't care for those fairy colored spandex outfits they wear either. Maybe I'm jaded, but I don't care what you think.

here's the car-drivers' mentality: i can't get hurt if i hit the person on the bike so that makes it ok to hit him.

so sorry to hear that jonbob. i've been riding my bike in Phoenix for over 30 yrs. the unnecessary close calls i've had number in the thousands. on rare occasion i was at fault. i've actually been in a car with someone once who purposely rode up close to a person on a bike not even riding on the rode, but on a gravel embankment and tried to "scare" him. i asked why she did that. "for fun" was her reply. needless to say i ended that friendship immediatley. noone cares about bike rules...too often not even the bicyclists. they want us off the roads and will do anything to make that happen. i've been told there is no place for us anymore. that cars only belong on the streets of phoenix...again by who i thought was a decent, sane person.

Mesa is definitely NOT bike friendly, lived there 30 years and finally move to Tempe where it's much much safer but still not perfect! Mesa city councilmen act like they want it to be bike friendly but they don't do much to help the situation infratstructurewise. I've already two of my best bike buddies killed in Mesa and they were in the right, unfortunately.....dead right!
