He admits the area is changing.
"Things have been better," said Henry.
His neighborhood, just north of 8th Street and Dobson Road, is centered in the middle of an ongoing crime spree where police have seen residential burglaries double during the past month.
Since the beginning of June, Mesa has had at least 60 homes burglarized in an area stretching north from Broadway to McDowell roads, and east from Price to Horne, according to police.
During a typical month, that section of the city sees about 20 to 25 burglaries.
Investigators are now working to shut down this burglary outbreak.
Police said the cases are unusual because they are happening at night -- not typical because most residential burglaries occur during the day when people are at work.
They also believe it may be an entire crew of criminals committing the crimes.
"What we're finding at the scenes is leading us to believe this could be several individuals or a group," Detective Steve Berry said.
Police say they are onto several leads.
But they urge residents to be vigilant themselves by keeping their valuables out of sight and making sure doors, windows and garages are shut and locked.
Detectives also said that if anyone in the area sees anything suspicious, they should call police immediately.
