Officials report that two schools buses were involved in a collision in the East Valley Friday morning.
Officer Robert Bailey with the Department of Public Safety said the accident happened at about 11:22 a.m. near the Loop 101 and McKellips Road.
Bailey said a red pickup truck was also involved, but it has left the scene.
The buses had students on board but no injuries were reported, Bailey said. There is no word on how many students were on the buses.
Air15 video showed students being moved from one bus to another at about 12:20 p.m. They appear to be from the Mesa Unified School District.
Video showed damage along the side of one of the buses.
There is no word on where the children were traveling to or from.
Bailey said DPS officers shut down the southbound State Route 101 McKellips Road off ramp.
A DPS Commercial Vehicle Officer is responding to conduct an inspection on request from the Salt River Police Department.
There are no details yet as to the cause of the accident. The Salt River Police Department will be investigating.
