The the two men reportedly confronted the guard outside a Bank of America around 1 p.m. and fled the scene with a money bag, according to Mark Marino of the Gilbert Police Department.
According to authorities, it appeared the two men dressed in black were in a pickup truck waiting outside the bank.
As the Loomis employee approached the armored car with a bag, the suspects reportedly jumped out of the pickup truck.
The suspects then yelled at the guard to give up the cash and took the bag from the guard before fleeing the scene, officials say.
