PHOENIX -- A Gilbert man was arrested by the FBI and Gilbert Police for allegedly robbing two east Valley banks, according to the United States Attorney's Office.
Donald Ray Ludington, 48, was charged with two counts of armed bank robbery on Wednesday.
Ludington is accused of robbing a credit union and a bank last month.
According to court documents, Ludington robbed the Tempe Schools Credit Union in Gilbert on October 7 and on October 22 he allegedly robbed a Bank of America branch in Gilbert.
In both cases, Ludington allegedly gave the teller a note and threatened them with what appeared to be a bomb. In the first robbery, Ludington reportedly also carried a gun.
Ludington faces up to 25 years in prison and/or a $250,000 fine if convicted.
His next court date is set for November 10.
