CHANDLER, AZ -- One East Valley family got into the Fourth of July spirit by using their heads.

The family, which included three boys and a girl ages 8 to 13, celebrated their patriotism by having American flags cut and colored into their hair.

The American flag haircuts were available Friday at Papa Joe’s Barber Shop in Chandler from 10:30 a.m.- 1 p.m.

Giuseppe Lazzara (Papa Joe) has been cutting hair for over 50 years in Italy, Chicago and Arizona. He's been in Chandler 25 years.

Papa Joe says regular haircuts are offered year round, no appointment required.
