A suspected robber accused of sexually assaulting an Arby's employee in Apache Junction has been arrested.

Michael Lloyd Davison Jr., 19, of Apache Junction, was arrested Tuesday in Chandler by the United States Marshal Service.

At about 2:30 a.m. on March 17, investigators Davison Jr. and a 17-year-old boy, whose name has not been released, walked into the Arby's near Delaware Drive and West Apache Trail.

Police said they were armed with a "blunt force-type instrument similar to a hoe or a trowel."

After the 17-year-old used it to hit a male employee over the head, police said the robbers then demanded that the female employee open the safe.

Investigators said they forced her to empty the cash register, then Davison sexually assaulted her.

Investigators interviewed known suspects in the community and reviewing surveillance video from both Arby's and surrounding businesses.

Police arrested the 17-year-old last week.  No other details have been released surrounding his arrest.

As for Davison, he is currently being held in the Apache Junction Police Department Detention Unit until he can be transferred to the Pinal County Detention Center in Florence.
