PHOENIX -- Maricopa County Animal Care and Control is doing something a little different; they are holding a free rabies vaccination clinic for dogs and cats at night.

The clinic is Wednesday, October 28 in the HALO parking lot in Phoenix from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

Dogs must be on a leash less than six feet in length and cats must be in carriers.

Rabies is an infectious viral disease that affects the nervous system. The disease can be eliminated by maintaining current rabies vaccinations for your pets, according to shelter officials.
