It claims to peel, slice, grate and even shred easy and fast. But before you buy it, let me try it.
We bought the Titan Peeler at Walgreens for $14.99 and it came with two peelers. The instructions were a little vague. We weren't sure which device was used for what.
So we tried both blades on several things.
We bought potatoes, carrots, cheese, onions and tomatoes and tried it out.
The instructions say to hold the item you are peeling by the top while slowly shaving in a downward and then upward motion and that's it.
The slicer peeled the potatoes and carrots easily and did okay on the tomato, but did horribly on the onions.
Then it was time for the shredder. We easily shredded the carrots, but had a hard time with everything else. In fact, my producer cut her hand while trying to shred the potatoes.
Overall... we give the Titan Peeler a thumbs down. Even though it performed well on peeling some things, it didn't do any better than my regular peeler that cost me less than five bucks. My advice is to save your cash.
