College is expensive. You have tuition, housing and books.

I found three sites that will save you more than half off your textbooks.

The first is www.campusbooks.com. The site compares the prices of books at several sites. This way you don't have to spend your entire day searching. You simply choose your book and the site shows you where to save the most cash.

Another cool site is www.chegg.com. You can actually rent your textbooks on this site.
The price changes frequently so if you see a price you like don't wait. You can also buy the book and even sell books you already have. Another cool thing about www.chegg.com, they plant a tree for every book you rent, buy or sell.

Half.com also has phenomenal prices. Half is being modest. We found books for more than 70 percent off retail prices. They were pretty much the cheapest overall to buy used books.

So let me show you how much you can save with these sites. I chose a few books to compare.

First a biology book that retails for $142. I found it new for $109.34 at barnesandnoble.com. The cost is $53.60 to rent it for a semester on www.chegg.com and $89.97 for a new book at half.com.

Next on the list is an accounting book that retails for $160. I found a new book on half.com for $40.04. A little more to rent a used book for a semester at chegg.com, $61.41.

There are lots of phenomenal deals that will hopefully take some stress off those college expenses.
