PHOENIX (AP) -- A statewide law enforcement task force made 179 drunken driving arrests on New Years Eve.
The Governor's Office of Highway Safety says more than 250 officers on the Holiday DUI task force made more than 2,200 traffic stops on Wednesday.
Of the 179 DUI arrests, 14 were for aggravated DUI and 57 for extreme DUI.
Twenty-six people were cited for DUI-Drugs.
Officers also issued more than 1,100 citations for violations ranging from speeding to seat belt and child restraint violations.
