I don't live close enough to be bothered by the noise. But I have tried riding the light rail for the last two weeks - I gave myself that time period to see if it was worth it. Well, I have gone back to my car! I got tired of the hard seats, people holding, what should be, private conversations on their cells phone at the top of their voice, panhandlers at the stop asking for money, drunk or drugged out people falling asleep or passing out on the floor of the train, never seeing security unless they are checking for tickets, and the amazing collection of aromas from strong perfumes to strong pits. I gave it a chance - now lets see what happens when they raise the rates!

I live right on Apache Blvd. in front of the Dorsey station, I don't have a problem with it. I'm sorry, but if you can't sleep through the light rail's "beeps and squeals:, you're not working hard enough during the day. I work all day and sleep right through "all the noise the light rail makes" and so does my 2 month old baby. Come on people, get a job, work hard and find other more productive issues to voice your opinions on.

They don't make curtains heavy enough, as a third shift worker, I have tried everything available to block out daytime noise so I can sleep. When the family of 5 mexican nationals moved in to "visit" my upstairs neighbor for several months in the one-bedroom apt, I had to resort to sleeping on the couch with the tv on and wearing headphones. I am so sorry for what you are going through. Good luck!

Heavy curtains... Dont you think they would have tried that before going to the news? I live in the same condos, the volume of noise isn't a matter of a month, its been years. Between sky rises to the south, light rail, a parking lot, and another sky rise tempe gateway all to the north we suffer still with no end in sight. You also have to love the large suv going by in the last few seconds of the video and how quiet it actually is, how we were told the light rail was suppost to be.

Nice heavy curtains will solve that problem.

That did seem a bit loud. Good luck selling your condo! Arizona has to be one of THE most goofy states in the union. I just point and giggle.

Probably the ones that voted for it live miles away from it.Never thought about others and the inconvenience for the ones that live in the city.

it has not even been a month, give it time and you will get used to it.
