Read the last few blogs SuperDave AmericanGurl and you'll find out why. I did.

Where is everyone getting the ski mask thing from? Nowhere in this story do I see anything about the man having a ski mask.

SuperDave - 1/8/2009 12:02 PM
No problem. I know for a fact that the reporters check these blogs to later correct their stories as in this case. They just updated the story again with even more info.

Thanks for setting us straight Super Dave. I didn't realize the updating of stories does not jibe with earlier posts. And you are right Slimmy, what is important is this guy making it, and I am not lost on that. If you post here a lot like I do, it is easy to get carried away with other's nonsense, and sometimes heartless comments.

Slimmy: It is very important as you mentioned, to KNOW where this happened. The initial report had the location in North Peoria (Dynamite & 136th Drive), when actually it was Scottsdale on Rio Verde Rd.

OpenMind & Fntasmic: This story has been updated a lot in the last couple hours, with the ski mask being deleted, cell phone added and the address corrected among other things. Typical get a story out there quick regardless of accuracy. Hope he makes it and can ID the scumbag.

Rio Verde Drive and Dynamite are the same road. Dynamite becomes Rio Verde at Alma School. I live down the street from where this occurred. It is sad when someone was shot and could die for all we know and the comments posted are about grammar, the stupidity of opening the door for a stranger and whether the street name is correct. My heart goes out to this man and his family. I hope he will be ok. I also hope the shooter is not still on the loose in my neighborhood. It is scary to think I can't go outside right now, unsure if this guy is still around.

While we're on the subject slippery, how about your spelling? Your versions of unintelligent, computer and buddy are obvious signs of a combination of your emotional state and typing too fast. Before you berate other people on their shortcomings, be sure to check yours first. I empathize where you are coming from though, and hope your friend makes it.

This is why the world is so messed up. Everyone assumes the news is always right and its not. In this case the person that has been shot happens to be a friend of mine. So why don"t all you folks practice your spelling and go back to playing cards or bingo. I have never even posted anything on the computor before, but after reading your comments I had to. I am sure my buddie will appreciate what I have said.
