A pregnant woman and three others were taken to the hospital after Department of Public Safety deputies raided a drop house Friday in west Phoenix.

It happened near 86th Avenue and Camelback Road late in the afternoon.

DPS officers said they found 34 undocumented immigrants and three suspected human smugglers.

According to officers, the smugglers were making threats and trying to extort money from relatives of the immigrants, so some of the family members called police.

It's unclear what type of injuries the victims sustained.
