The Tempe Police Department has arrested four people in connection with a burglary spree, in which more than $25,000 in property was stolen.
An investigation led to the arrests of Verity Ponichtera, 29, of Mesa, Shawn Kolden, 34, of Mesa, Gilbert "Bruce" Bueno, 23, of Mesa, and Lauren Payne, 18, of Tempe.
Ponichtera and Kolden were arrested Monday, Pyane was arrested on December 6 and Bueno was arrested December 30.
Police said Ponichtera, Kolden and Bueno burglarized a Tempe home near Scottsdale and Curry roads on November 30.
On December 4, Payne joined the other three suspects in robbing a Tempe home near Rural and Elliot roads, according to police.
Police said all four suspects burglarized the same home the following day. However, this time they also allegedly attempted to steal the victim's vehicle, but were unsuccessful.
Investigators said Ponichtera and Kolden sold stolen property to a Mesa pawn shop and to other individuals.
Ponichtera was arrested on two counts of burglary in the second degree and one count of trafficking stolen property; Kolden was arrested on two counts of burglary in the second degree and three counts of trafficking stolen property; Bueno was arrested on two counts of burglary in the second degree; and Payne was arrested on two counts of second degree burglary and possession of drug paraphernalia.
