PHOENIX, AZ -- Two men who police say carjacked a woman, one of whom allegedly threw her baby out the window, have been charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and other counts.

On Sept. 23, police said the Arthur Galindo, 29, and Romulo Cardona, 23, drove up to the woman near Central and Southern avenues as she was pulling into an apartment complex.

Even though she cooperated when they told her to get out of the car, police said Galindo fired a shotgun at the vehicle's window, causing broken glass to fall on the woman's four-month-old daughter.

Witnesses said Galindo proceeded to throw the baby to the pavement.

She was strapped in her car seat and suffered minor cuts to her face.

Police arrested the two men several blocks away near 19th Avenue and Southern.

The two men are also accused of shooting a man in the arm during another carjacking attempt 30 minutes before the situation involving the baby.

Police said Cardona is also wanted for a home invasion and carjacking in Phoenix.
