One-hundred percent of the precincts are now reporting in the Scottsdale Mayor race, but the election is still too close to call.

Current Mayor Mary Manross is trailing 609 votes behind challenger W.J. Jim Lane, a first term council member.

Lane has 42,486 votes. Manross has 41,877 votes.

But while all the precincts are in, officials say they still have some early ballots to count.

It's unknown how long it might take before all those ballots are in.

"Mary has been well intentioned and I respect her time in public service," said Lane. "But it is time for some change."

Manross was unreachable for comment Wednesday.

Lane finished ahead by 367 votes in September's general election. That was not enough to get the majority to win, which forced the race into a runoff.

Manross has been mayor since 2000. She ran on the platform that Scottsdale was doing fine and on her efforts to revitalize the city.

Councilman Lane, an accountant, called for greater fiscal responsibility and more open government.
