PHOENIX – Phoenix police arrested 64 people after an alleged party crew took over an engagement party for a future bride.

Shortly after 12 a.m., officers responded to a complaint at a home in the 8000 block of South 24th Street, south of Baseline Road.

Of the 64 people who were arrested, 28 were underage drinkers and 31 were cited for curfew violations.  Police did not say what the remaining five people were charged with.

Police say party crews tend to involve underage people who spread information about parties using text messaging and other means of communication to promote parties.

No other details have been released about Sunday's incident.
