In watching the videos, its apparent these guys were wearing clothes that looked like hanging pants and black hats, jesturing with their fingers and hands and walking like gangs members would, this must have been a gang initiation killing. The family is too grieved to think clearly, but some friend of theirs should set up a fund at at bank for donations to get the reward as high as possible, then the pd will get serious leads. This young man was a good soul and was not looking for any problems, I cry each time I read or think about it. My sincere prayers for the family and beautiful Francisco in heaven.

This sickens me to no end. My condolences to the family in your time of loss. My then 15 yr old son (now 17) is a wonderful kid. He is very active in sports (wrestling, football and track), he does not do drugs, smoke or drink. My son and one of his friends were walking to catch the city bus after spending an evening at Castles n Coasters, while they were walking, they were approached by approx. 12-15 kids. The kids proceeded to give them a hard time & demanded their personal items & money. My son & his friend were beaten badly by all of these kids who repeatedly kicked them in the face while he was laying on the ground trying to protect himself and could hear the other kids yelling and screaming "kick him harder!" My son calls me with that fear in his voice every parent dreads hearing. My husband leaves the house and drives up to Metro Center Mall. He picks up my son and his friend and actually ends up finding these kids hanging out in front of the movie theaters bragging and laughing. My husband approaches the kids and some words are exchanged. Just as my husband is getting ready to take justice into his own hands, a police officer arrives. My son and his friend were able to identify the actual kids that initially hit them, but not the other ones who kicked them over and over again, so only 2 of them were arrested. We went to court as we were going to press charges, charges were dropped because the police officers had mixed up the names of the kids and these kids edned up walking scott free. They sat in court with smug lil smirks on their faces. As a parent, having to look at your child everyday while he is badly beaten due to a horrible act of cowardness will tear you up inside and want you to take justice in your own hands, let alone having a child who was murdered by these little cowards. May justice be served in your case as I could not imagine losing a child. I will pray for your family!

Please stop giving this poor kid an image. You weren't witnesses to this fatal accident like I was. I was interviewed by the police all while sitting in my truck looking at his body laying there on the street for 3 hours. I got there right after the 2nd car and attempted to avoid the 3rd car by honking and flashing my lights, but he was hit and killed. The sad thing is the news doesn't mention is how he was still alive before the 3rd car hit him. He picked up his head & stared right at me in pain.. I get chills just typing this. I can't get his face out of my head. I send my condolences to the Elias family. I apologize. I tried my best to avoid his death but he was in so much pain, I don't think he would have made it. RIP F.E. Please let us know about any donations and/or info. for the funeral service. I would like to have peace with your son and family. I know how it is to lose a child. I hope they find those kids who did this so you may find peace also. My prayers are with you and your family at this time.... jocga

CanOrAz..........I agree, I also think high school should be mandatory and what these kids learn in high school now is a joke. They probably should not be allowed to work or drive until they're 18. Better education will make these kids better parents in the future if not the cycle just goes on. My son spent an entire semester in high school building a bird house and my other son sewing boxer shorts for 3 months and baking chocolate chip cookies the other half of the semester. Please, what a waste of a brain and of money. The US is so behind other countries when it comes to education. I went to high school in South America and I learned things that my daughter was taught in her first and second year of college.

White society is forcing Mexican children to act like this. Mexico needs our love.

everyone stand up and thank the ACLU for ALL of this pathetic stuff coming from our schools today. they have defended ALL the reasons in court - that our kids should have more control than their parents and their schools. THANK YOU ACLU - I PROMISE NEVER TO EVER SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT YOU (since i know i could be tracked down and put in prison for some trumped up charge if i do).

sandym, I agree with you to a point about education. Along with education, there HAS to be strict discipline in our schools. Even 'pretty good' kids with good parents know they can get away with soooo much in our schools and there will be no consequences. And if the kids aren't getting the discipline they need to become productive citizens at home, then let them learn it in the schools. Make school absolutely mandatory, make it very strict, make it mean something.
