DPS: Stolen vehicle pursuit leads to barricade situation
PHOENIX – The pursuit of a stolen vehicle lead officials to a barricade situation at a Phoenix home Friday morning.
Officer Dobbins with the Arizona Department of Public Safety said DPS officers assisted the Phoenix Police Firebird helicopter in stopping a stolen vehicle on Interstate 10.
The vehicle reportedly did not stop and DPS officers pursued the vehicle from Wild Horse Pass to the Baseline off-ramp.
Dobbins said the occupants of the vehicle fled on foot.
According to DPS, officials believe seven people ran to a house in the area.
Six people came out of the house, but one person reportedly remained inside the home.That person was later taken into custody.The identities of the people have not been provided and further details have not yet been released.
