I have worked with diane habener over a year with tuffies animal rescue and she would never do anything to harm an animal she has one of the biggest hearst of anybody that i know i have no adopted 2 dogs and i have also fostered many dogs from tuffies! i love diane so much and i ams o sad and puzzled about what happened because all of thoses dogs were clean, healthy, they may not look like it because they just came off of the streets and from a shelter that she saved them from and i hope so much that she gets all of the dogs and animals back!!!!!!

Lorida shame on you! you can get Shelties from the Sheltie rescue HELLO, maybe you need to volunteer in the am when all the Shelters so there daily kills and help bag them then take them to the landfill, you could have requested them to call you also when a nother Sheltie came in. THANK GOD no animals leave shelters now without being fixed first! I can't beleive you wanted to contribute to the overpopluation problem that is all over the world with Dogs & Cats and 50 percent are Prebreds. Please get educated on this matter you need it!

2 observations while reading these comments: 1. no matter what the story it is; it always involves an "illegal, mexican, hispanic, or minority" 2. this is an animal cruelty story and im surprised nobody has mentioned anything about her race or skin color. But i bet if it was an animal cruelty and it involved somebody who was hispanic, illegal or mexican; 100's of comments would be posted already on here in regards to there skin and how supposedly how filthy they are, how we need to get them out of here, and mention Arpaio. Well i just wanted to put my 2 cents. I just laugh about it all this comments on here :) oh and you can call me whatever you want; i can careless :) okie dokie have a good day :)

She just bit off more than she could chew. I dont think shes a bad person, shes just in need of some long term counseling or psychological help.

No excuses lady............I hope she gets charged the max. Didn't anyone hear what the volunteers said? That is was horrible and that she wasn't helping any animals. She probably has a mental issue. Put her in a cage without water she if she likes it. The nerve.

I have to add that one of my worse regrets was obeying the sterilization rules on adoptions the the humane society emphisizes all the time. My Shelti dog who died after 12 yrs is sorely missed. I wished I listened to my kids who asked me to let her breed once so we could have her pups, not to sell but to keep, she was treasured that much. Now she's passed on and the empty space she occupied in my heart and home is no longer filled with her love and companionship. How I wished I would have given her just one litter, it would have been joy to have her puppies grow and live wonderfully in my home forever, like she did. Small Shelti's only have one or two pups anyway, she was the runt of the litter and only 10lbs. at best, she was going to be euthenized by the breeder, but I fell in love immediately and took her home. I learned not to always listen to the "advice" from the experts, but use common sense and judgement.

My heart goes out to those dogs found at this property if it is all true, however dogbabysitting, I agree with you, I have seen Tuffy's name on many of the dog rescues lists in good standing for many years. I was curious watching the news cast on the evacuation of the dogs, the narration was worse than what we were looking at. I noticed her house was not dirty looking at all, the property wasn't the messed up kind at all, that one would label abusive, each dog had their own cage. Some of the dogs came to her in bad physical shape and the cameras focused on them specifically as though she caused their condition. Maybe, she just suddenly got ill or tired and lapsed for abit, its tiresome to keep begging for donations, maybe all of these situations combined made her look worse than it actually was, something went ary that made her the perfect target for an anonymous caller. The information is seriously suspect here.

This women says she was helping animals-We should put her in a cage that is to smal and with no water and food -she should sleep in this cage in her waste She should face exatly whar the dogs and cats went thur. An eye for an eye. I an animal lover (expect snakes and spiders) I donate to just about all animal donations. Storyies like this makes me very diaguted. The story about dog fightes and other animal make me sick. The people who runs this kind of animal abuse should go thur the same knd of torteure. Tigger
