PHOENIX -- A worker found dead Wednesday under several bales of hay at a north Phoenix equestrian park has been identified.

Phoenix Fire Capt. Shelly Jamison said the 70-year-old victim, David Yinger, was a family friend and worker at the private park located near Pinnacle Peak Road and 40th Street.

He apparently had last been seen at 10 a.m. and was found under the hay bales at about 2:45 p.m.

Phoenix police say it is unknown if the incident occurred during a delivery of hay or if the hay bales collapsed on the victim.

According to investigators, foul play is not suspected at this time, according to police.

"It appears to be just a tragic accident," Jamison said.
