FD: Biplane ends up on its roof at Phoenix airport

PHOENIX -- An unknown number of people were injured after a small biplane was forced down at a Phoenix airport Saturday afternoon.

Phoenix Fire Department spokesperson Hugh Chase said the plane ended up on its roof when it was forced down at the Deer Valley Airport just after 1 p.m.

According to Chase, the people on board the small plane suffered minor injuries.

Officials said it is unclear why the plane was forced down and the incident is being investigated.
