PHOENIX – The Valley’s homeless are becoming increasingly susceptible to health problems due to temperatures dipping at night across the state.

The Valley's only accredited acupuncture school is helping to warm the local homeless population with a free acupuncture clinic designed to address ailments ranging from cold to addiction.

Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture College & Clinic students and faculty set up at a downtown shelter Tuesday afternoon with a very visual ear-based treatment program.

PIHMA worked during the summer months to help cool down hundreds of homeless.

Students will be at the New Arid Club - 1201 W. Madison (SW corner of 12th Ave. and Madison) on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
