I'm in this family (pringle). First my heart and all of my family is sad for what has happened to Alice and the grief that it has caused her family. We do not condone this behavior and would never support it. Jerome was gone from our lives for over 20 yrs and apperead on Joe's and Alice's doorstep last year. We did not know this person anymore we never once heard from him over this time period. It is a SAD story for both of our families becuse he could have stayed "out of sight out of mind" no one missed him.I can not stop thinking of Alice, her and Jerome had their differences, she was a wonderful person and she played the game by all of the rules. Her life was taken way to soon, and Jerome's life wont be taken soon enough. As the days pass I wonder why does things happen to people who we hold close to our hearts? and not to those who can disregard a precious life. God only knows, all of my prayers are with Alice's children to give them strenght and courage as they continue to live in the memory of their mother. Alice Saunders gone but never forgotten.

Clerk: good evening. Murderer: hey, how's it going. Clerk: so, so. Murderer: call the cops, will ya? Clerk: what for? Murderer: I need to tell them somethin'; I need to turn myself in. Clerk: why? Murderer: because I killed somebody, and I think that they want to talk too me. You see, when you work at one of these places, all of the dregs' seem to make it a destination for themselves. Bad, very bad things' happen there. Conveinece stores should be outlawed, because they are places in which terrible crimes happen, and they serve no useful purpose but to make money for the corporations that own them.

sortit, whats this have to do wit the story? the man asked the cashier to call the police so he can turn himself in, the employee even went outside and chatted with him until cops came...... I agree that these stores are dangerous to work in but if you dont want to work in one or are concerned about the dangers then go to a regular store and dont apply to work at a convenience store..... sortit drop your pathetic fight over this, these stores arent going away they make a lot of money and too many people would be pissed... besides how many times a week do you go into one of these stores for drink or gas?

I wish all convenience would be outlawed. They are super dangerous places to work at, and they are very dangerous for customers, too. Being an employee of one is one of the most hazardous jobs' that you can have. It is just crazy. People walk into them, and they just blow the clerks away! It's nuts! Close'em down.

The credit crunch and joblessness is hitting the murderers and criminal too, they cannot afford lawyers to turn them in anymore, gotta go to a convenience store.

I'm thankful Jerome has a conscience, how many people out there don't? Prayers to Alice family.

I'm sure his defense attorney (probably public defender) is going to have a field day with this report and all the quotes from the clerk! Hard to get a fair trial when all this is reported, but then again if he pleads guilty, I guess there won't be a trial. Glad he's off the streets.
