I can't believe people advocate speeding.....etc. What do you have to worry about? Don't speed, don't drive like a jacka** you don't have to worry about tickets.

How is it that serving for photo radar meets different standards than any other court serving. I am sick of the government selling out justice for revenue. Put a real cop on the road? Photo radar shouldn't be more than a normal ticket either but it is. They are like Big Brother that uses mafia strong-arming to get cash. It is morally wrong.

The cameras have been proven to cause accidents in Peoria so they are taking them down. Nay sayers try driving the freeway in traffic and you will see how bad they are. Too many idiots not paying attention jamming the brakes when they see the cameras or even lines in the road thinking they are sensor wires for cameras. My two favs are West bound I-10 at the salt bridge when everyone is trying to negotiate 7 lanes of traffic to go from I-10 to I-17 or vice versa and contending with not one but two camera zones with brake jamming idiots,. Way too many near misses in the stretch.

I can't believe people complain about laws being enforced to save lives. I can't count how many times when I see a car going 100 mph past me on the highway I wish them nothing but a trip to hell. I've been driving the 60 and the 101 for years and never got a photo radar ticket. There's no need to exceed 75 mph. The people who go 90-100 mph deserve not only a speeding ticket they should have their license revoked and car impounded. And for the crotch rockets who go 90-100 mph your time is limited before you crash and die. People don't seem to understand they are driving deadly weapons if driven improperly. I think thats how our justice system should treat speeders as an attempted assault with a deadly weapon. That includes red light runners, DUI and stop sign runners.

The highways are public thoroughfares that are being utilitized to steal money from drivers here in Arizona. These profits are filling state and city coffers. By installing speed cameras capturing drivers 24/7, the ONLY goal is to extract money, and they have exceeded boundries doing it too. For example; randomly changeing the speed limit signs every where day and night, needs to be addressed and stopped immediately, for me, its an illegal procedure and purposefully sets out to trick and confuse drivers, its called "entrapment." Clearly the excuse of safety issues is not an accurate statement at all, its an over used cover up for overstepping the boundries by the city. To make matters worse, there are hidden and unclear verbages on the ticket that increases the potential profit...a buyer beware type of statement should be boldly printed on each ticket. The bottom line is - speed camers and radar fines produce enormously huge income and profits that do not go back to the pd or any responder agency connected to the city, as seen this year in their loss of jobs, pay cuts and owed employee money. Nothing has historically gone to benefit the general public, but only to the truly guilty parties involved in the "speed captures for profits" scamming.

Many of you call this a "money scam" ? Yeah, a money scam where the only people who are paying into this "scam" are the people who are, WELL, paying into the system because THEY GOT A FREAKIN TICKET...oh, that must be the states fault too, sorry. SLOW DOWN! (not to mention that there are warning signs PRIOR to any photo radar camera on the highways) That just indicates that whoever gets these tickets are 1)people who don't care or 2) People who are completely not paying attention , how do you not notice 2 bright yellow signs WARNING you of a radar zone? And why should there have to be a warning as to where the cameras are...you all know the speed limit. I'm not pro camera myself, but the reality is, they are there. Don't speed and you won't be paying into this so-called "money scam." And IM4US, by reading your posts, you should change your name on here to: ILIKETOCOMPLAINABOUTEVERYTHINGTHIS WORLDDEPRIVESMEOFBECAUSEIDESERVETHEBESTOFEVERYTHINGBECAUSEIAMME.

IM4US the premise for commenting on ABC15 reports is to agree, disagree or debate an issue associated with the report, BUT NOT to personally attack anyone when you disagree, mr. IM4US!! How dare you imply I am on medications and I should be taking them to produce sense in most my commentaries???? I dont mind if you disagree with me, or have a bit of fun at my expense, but never cross the line with accusations like this, without first thinking possible law suit for offending and trashing me personally, you do not know me, you have no personal information of me and that will get you into deep trouble writting false inuendos and accusations about me.

People don't "get away with not paying tickets." Arizona law requires proper service, or the ticket is not valid. Getting a ticket in the mail is NOT proper service. Someone who receives a ticket in the mail has every right to ignore the mailing and force proper service. Unfortunately, the language on the tickets when they come in the mail is very misleading and many people pay the fine without realizing they have a right to proper service. Ultimately, if a person waits to be served and has to pay the ticket, the additional fee for service is added into the fine. Adding additional fines to cover court costs is taking this another step too far. Yes, people should follow the speed limits and drive safely. However, when our Freeways have randomly changing speed limits not linked with lower limits for construction zones and speed cameras are strategically placed 300 feet into the lower zone, some of those tickets are just not reasonable.
