PHOENIX, AZ -- Two people are in custody after burglarizing a Phoenix pawn shop Sunday morning, officials said.
Phoenix Police Spokesperson Trent Crump said officers were called to a pawn shop near Interstate 10 and 51st Avenue around 10 a.m. When officers arrived two men ran out the back of the store carrying rifles.
According to Crump, police maintained a "surveillance pursuit," for some time and were able to apprehend the driver.
Shortly after, officials also took the second suspect into custody.
SEE PHOTOS FROM THE SCENE IN THE ATTACHED SLIDESHOWCrump said both suspects, 35-year-old Jason Hays and 48-year-old Ray Anderson, are being booked for burglary and theft.
The driver who fled the scene will also be charged with unlawful flight. It is unclear at this time which man was driving the vehicle.
