PHOENIX, AZ -- Two people are in custody after burglarizing a Phoenix pawn shop Sunday morning, officials said.

Phoenix Police Spokesperson Trent Crump said officers were called to a pawn shop near Interstate 10 and 51st Avenue around 10 a.m. When officers arrived two men ran out the back of the store carrying rifles.

According to Crump, police maintained a "surveillance pursuit," for some time and were able to apprehend the driver.

Shortly after, officials also took the second suspect into custody.
