Congrads to the winner Dr. Leonard A Jasinski MD of Peoria AZ. The Crisis Center claims $90k raised was split between the winner and the crisis center. Oddly enough though when you go to the web page for the raffle there is simply a picture of the house pre arson. and the winner name but not the prize amount and even more oddly still is that the Child Crisis Center web site says nothing about it nor does the raffle page even link to the Center which has lost much funding over the last few months. I still say Very Suspect!

I bought a ticket as well and think I deserve a refund I didn't even know the house was taken off the raffle this was the first I had heard of it. Once again looks like a scam to me. Should have known some richy rich banker wasn't gonna donate his home in the biltmore to some poor persons cause. I'm looking to see if I captured the raffle info to my hard drive I'm almost certain it had a fire-sprinkler system heck it had secret panic room. and state of the art security. Very suspect!!!

What happened to the house in Mesa that was supposed to be raffled. The dates kept changing and now nothing is available on their web site. Did they give the house or something else??

I bought 3 tickets for the raffle. I hope they had some good insurance on the place. I am sure the raffle people had it insured also.

Could always have a hot summer fire sale! 50% off on Douglas Fir charcoal! Get it while they're hot!

I think he changed his mind about giving it to charity and torched himself to save face for denying a children's charity the money they would have received from the auction. Oh and as soon as I read he had scuba gear nearby, makes me think he had it on when he started the fire or he underestimated the quickness of the fire. Survey says.....ARSON

I had worked on the home for one of the former owners. It is a very well built and engineered home. The owner I worked for, was the original builder. He had an outstanding eye for detail, and quality. It did have many light dimmers though. Perhaps one over-heated. The home was beautiful. Someone would have been very happy to live there. On a great lot, on the golf course. The master bedroom had a huge storage closet, It would be a practicle place to keep scuba gear. The Phoenix Fire Department has an outstanding arson investigation unit. Perhaps one of the very best in the world. There is no way to get away with arson. Science is too cutting edge. I hope there is follow up to this story. Thank God no one was hurt seriously.
