PHOENIX -- First Friday was an ideal time to kick off this year's 'Know Your Neighbor' concert series brought to you by ASU Downtown campus.

The idea is to get ASU students to explore the different venues Phoenix has to offer through the power of music featuring local bands.

Friday's venue was The Paisley Violin at 10th Ave and Grand.

"What a great venue, what a great odd place.  I'm definitely going to bring my family back here," said Aliya Rosenbloom an ASU student who helped organize the event.

The concert series consists of 6 different shows:
        - Nov. 6, 7pm to midnight, The Paisley Violin, 1028 Grand Ave
        - Nov. 7, 11am to 2pm, First Arizona Fall Festival, 1651 E. Camelback
        - Nov. 13, 6pm to 10pm, Roosevelt Row Green Streets Fall Festival, on
Roosevelt between 4th and 7th Steets.
        - Nov. 15, 10am to 5pm, Spanish Festival, The Heard Museum, 2301 N. Central
        - Nov. 18, 4pm to 6pm, Kasama Film Tour, Phoenix Art Museum, 1625 N. Central
        - Nov. 20, 6pm to 9pm, Civic Space Park, 424 N. Central
