I hope it passes. Also some kids do need a booster till age 12, remember the seatbelt is made for the average adult male. They are not made for children.

I think its about time the law teaches parents how to keep their children safe. For those of you who think a 4 yr old is safe in an ADULT seat belt (which, by the way is tested for an adult, not a child)....do some research and educate yourself before you kill your child. Do you ever wonder why the shoulder belt hits them across the face and not the chest like its supposed to? Its because its not meant for a kid!

What if it's a very small, thin adult or older child that's less than 4' 9" tall? Would they need to be in a booster seat to be 'safer'? Isn't it really more about the size of the individual rather than the age?

Messicans are going to hate this. I hardly EVER see messican kids in restraint seats. And if it's going to be 8Y.O and younger they have a problem there. I see 5Y.O messicans that weight 130lbs. and are only 3 1/2 ft. tall. How the hell are messicans going to fit their lil miniture cows in these seats? They need to tell these seat manufacturers to start making seats that grown people can sit in. There's a lot of two legged miniture cattle grazing in the moving cars nowadays.

Having kids myself and beleiving in car seat restraints I think 8 years old in rediculas. Maybe 4 years old max. A child 4 years and older is plenty big enough to be in a regular seat belt. What's next? a few more years and they will make it 12 years old.
