3 escape injury after fire breaks out at Phoenix home

PHOENIX – Three people escaped injury after a fire ignited at a Phoenix home early Tuesday.

The fire broke out shortly after 4 a.m. near 20th Street and Roeser.

According to Phoenix Fire Department officials, crews arrived on scene to find the fire at the south side of the building.

Three people inside the home reportedly woke up to the smell of smoke and were able to get out safely.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly, and there are no injuries.

Officials said the cause of the fire is under investigation, but it is believed to have started in the kitchen.
