PHOENIX – The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office took 17 people in custody after they busted an alleged drop house Wednesday night in west Phoenix.

A traffic stop reportedly led deputies the home near 111th Avenue and Indian School Road, according to Maricopa County Sheriff's Office spokesman Aaron Douglas.

Of the 17 in custody, 16 are considered undocumented immigrants and one is considered an alleged smuggler, according to the report.

MCSO said they found zip ties inside the home, which were probably used to tie up people being held.
