John Andreas, a Romans family spokesperson, says St. Johns detectives told them an 8-year-old fired 10 times during the shooting that claimed the lives of
Vincent Romero, 29, and Tim Romans, 39, on November 6.

Andreas said detectives told them the boy fired four shots at his father Vincent who was walking upstairs, and then six shots at Tim.

Crime Scene video released by police show four casings inside the house.  One by Romero’s listless body, the other three on the staircase.

Tanya Romans said she was on the phone with her husband Tim when she heard the 8-year-old ask Tim to come inside because something happened to his father.

Andreas said Tim then told Tanya he would call her right back, that is the last time she heard her husband’s voice.

Andreas said detectives believe Tim walked around his Dodge 4x4 pick-up truck to the front of the house where the child shot him six times.

Police believe the murder weapon was a single shot .22-caliber rifle.

Andreas said that means the kid had to physically reload the rifle after each shot.

Andreas believes to do that 10 times shows the child killed the two men in cold blood and refers to the murders as a “slaughter”.

Saint Johns Police say they can’t confirm how many shots they think the 8-year-old fired due to a gag order.

The Apache County Attorney’s Office would also not confirm that detectives believe the child fired 10 times.

Andreas said he wants America and the World to know "what really happened" because they hope it will help the public understand why they are so upset that on Wednesday Judge Michael Roca allowed the boy to spend Thanksgiving at home with his mother.

"Tim can't go home," he added.

Andreas said murder is murder no matter what age and added that the Romans family does not want to see the kid walk just because people can’t imagine how a kid could commit such a gruesome crime.

Andreas also said the Romans have two daughters who attend a community college in Scottsdale.

They family opened a bank account in Tim Romans name at Wells Fargo under the account number 9270665103.  Money donated will benefit Romans' daughters.

Andreas said the proceeds would go to the daughter’s college fund.

Andreas said Romans was the family breadwinner and his dream was to see his girls graduate college.
