A man was rescued on Monday after being stranded in the snow outside Flagstaff since Saturday.

Coconino County Sheriff's Deputies received a report of a man, who was living in his vehicle with his dog, stranded in deep snow west on Forest Service Road in Bellemont around 10:40 a.m.

The victim reportedly had no food supplies and was low on water and propane.

Due to the deep snow pack and the victim's medical history and physical condition, he was not able to hike to safety, according to the report.

Officials said crews were able to reach the victim with the use of a four wheel drive vehicle equipped with a rubber track conversion system.

Although the victim was wet, very cold, and hungry, he reportedly did not require medical attention.

Deputies transported the victim to Bellemonte where he was met and cared for by a friend, according to the report.
