A power outage in Flagstaff left two people trapped in a hotel elevator Monday night.

At about 6:00 p.m., a vehicle crashed into a power transformer near Black Bart's Resort in Flagstaff.

This resulted in a power loss for all APS customers on Butler Avenue from Fourth Street to Enterprise Road.

Several restaurants, gas stations and hotels located on Lucky Lane also lost power.

Two people in one of the hotels on Lucky Lane became trapped when the power went off.

Flagstaff firefighters were called to assist in removing the people from the elevator.

APS is estimating that the power loss will last well into the night.

Crews are on the scene trying to restore power as quickly as possible.
