SEDONA, AZ -- "I was standing right here when the boulder came flying off the upper edge," Ranjita Ryan explained as she pointed out divots where the earth was carved by a large boulder.

She said a relaxing day at her exclusive Sedona spa turned into moments of terror when eight tons of rock came tumbling her way.

"There was nothing I could have done to get out of it's way," she said.  "It was coming so fast."

The rock came loose high above, on the canyon wall.  As it fell, it gathered momentum.  It spun out of control, but Ryan questions whether it was under some other kind of control.

"I really do feel like the hand of God was moving this boulder," she said.

The massive crashed down the hill, narrowly missing a bungalow, then slammed through a fence.  It just missed a powerline that would have cut power to hundreds of residents.

"It wove its way as if it was being guided," Ryan said.

The boulder tore through a shed, narrowly missing Ryan before continuing on toward her home.

"It took a baptismal dip in the hot-tub, and then got up on its side, and landed right in the area of the rose garden when it didn't even damage the rose bushes," said Ryan.

The eight ton stone came to rest with arm's reach of Ryan's home, nestled in the garden.  She wonders if it was random precision or something more??

Ryan said, "It sort of knew where it wanted to stop."

The boulder caused an estimated $30,000 dollars in damage.
